Live Streaming | Alejandro Franco

May 2018. Installation documentation. Found metal objects, cardboard, broken glass and china. Dimensions variable.

Live Streaming is a heartfelt, life-size diorama made with recognizable objects that encapsulates a single moment of North Carolina’s natural landscape.

Working within Elsewhere’s ecosystem of objects that constantly migrate and transform, this sculptural installation stands almost as by natural law of gravity and with minimal alteration to the medium. By fabricating a wildlife terrain and emblems of freedom with overlooked items from museum collection, Franco’s work questions the value of these materials, our fragile ecosystem, and human self-indulgence.
