Elsewhere shares its artspace with residents, patrons, members and the public so that as many different people can experience the space in a meaningful way. Please, visit us during public hours.
Elsewhere will return to normal operating hours later this summer, until then, please check our calendar for open hours.
Residency #118 Artist Happening
Come see what two weeks inside Elsewhere looks like. 🌀
Residency #118's Happening is Friday, June 20th, 5–9pm — a free, open evening celebrating the work of Bradley Sinanan and J. Eliza Wall.
All three floors of the museum will be open to explore, full of new work and artistic interventions woven into the collection. Hear from the artists themselves in talks and walkthroughs, and don't miss a live performance by Bradley.
Come curious. Stay as long as you like. Meet the artists, wander the building, and see what Elsewhere reveals when given two weeks and the right people.
Free and open to all. Donations are always welcomed and go directly toward keeping our programs alive during this exciting season of renewal for Elsewhere.

Artist Talk: Elsewhere Alumni
Join us for our Alumni Residency closing event where you can hear from artists that created in our space over the years and decided to return to recreate, reimagine or develop a new project. See the art they will leave behind and what they’ve been up to since their 1st experience. Doors open at 7 pm. After that you are free to mingle and see the rest of the art and space. Suggested donation: $10
Member Dinner
Are you a member of Elsewhere? Enjoy an evening of conversation with our alumni artists over a 4 course meal served in our Kitchen Commons. Check back in with us in May 2024 when we announce the menu and guest artists at the table. Artist Talk to follow at 7 pm.

Alumni Residency
The moment we’ve all been waiting for! This June Elsewhere brings its alumni back into the fold to recreate, add to or envision new artwork in the space. The public is welcome to stop by during Public Hours to engage with the artists. Stay tuned. We will announce the returning artists in May 2024.

Artist Talk: Detroit Urban Exchange
Join us for our Detroit Urban Exchange closing event where you can hear from Detroit artists what it was to live and create in Greensboro. See the art they will leave behind as they carry their Elsewhere experiences back to the Motor City. Doors open and engagement begins at 12 pm. Artist Talk commences at 1 pm. After that you are free to mingle and see the rest of the art and space. Suggested donation: $10

Urban Exchange Residency: Detroit
Elsewhere welcomes contemporary artists of note who were born, raised or living in Detroit, Michigan to Greensboro where they will spend the month engaging The Collection, the space and the community. Stop in during public hours to meet our artists in residence or attend our Closing Event/Artist Talk on Sunday, April 28th to hear about their experience.
