Elsewhere offers playshops for publics and school groups that explore new ways to learn, create and imagine at Elsewhere. Each session explores the history of things, collaboration and play through creative interactions and investigations. Playshops are learning opportunities for kids of all ages and lifelong learners.

April 21, 1-4pm | READ-IN (at the Weatherspoon Art Museum)

Celebrate comics, art, and literacy with hands-on activities, refreshments, gallery games at the Weatherspoon Art Museum in collaboration with the Greensboro Public Library.

April 28, 5-8pm | ZINE MAKING (at the Weatherspoon Art Museum)Plan to explore the world of artist Trenton Doyle Hancock and the integration of image and text as we develop a collaborative zine and explore several processes for playfully addressing the autobiographical image. For this workshop, you’ll need to bring a small photograph of yourself that evokes an intriguing story. (Please RSVP to education@elsewhereelsewhere.org, Location: Weatherspoon Art Museum at UNCG)

May 5, 2-5pm | BOOKARTS & SCREENPRINTING with the Hollow Earth SocietyJoin us in Elsewhere's newest installation, The Living Library, for a collaborative printmaking and bookarts Playshop with visiting artists the Hollow Earth Society. Learn how to screenprint, make zines, and handmade publications with style.
