Elsewhere Lepidoptera Society | Ann Armstrong

Armstrong fabricated a series of butterfly species and created a taxonomy, handbook, and reading area in the library focused on lepidoptera. Armstrong's colonies occupy the sub-spaces of the building that are created by decay - exposed lath, ceiling beams, crumbling wallpaper. Her background in architecture and interest in cultivating observation lead her to a project that ties together the spaces of the building.
