Doorbell and recorded album of original organ compositions. After playing Elsewhere’s vintage Yamaha organ over the course of two weeks, Jeff Kolar created an album of 12 songs that represent a deep exploration of the instrument. Visitors to the museum can play and listen to tracks on the album through a retrofitted doorbell system that Kolar installed at the front of the museum as part of the console for the Urban Gray Ballroom.This project was created as part of the Museum as Instrument curatorial initiative and funded in part by the North Carolina Arts Council.
