It is our 13th Extravaganza, so we had no choice to get spooky. Think of this as an early Halloween party, a playful take on a haunted house, an invitation for you to join us as a collaborator, or an excuse to dress up and be transported beyond this life. This is our Nightmare on S. Elm Street and it is pretty dreamy.

Haunted Museum Tours
Timed entry every 20 minutes
FRI 10/7 (4-10PM) & SAT 10/8 (5-8PM)

  • Friendly ghosts and spooky happenings in the Living Library

  • Journey to hell (bar)

  • FRI 10/7:

    • 5:00PM: Brandon Tenney brings Psychedelic Rock to the Hell Lounge

    • 6:00PM: Ambience is set in the Ghostly Library by Myooz

  • SAT 10/8: Black widow spider performed by comedian Khrissy YSF on her thrown who hosts My Sister and Her Friends monthly at Elsewhere

Pre-Party: 10/8, 5-7PM

Nightmare on S. Elm St. Party: 10/8, 7-11PM

  • 5:00PM: Get into the Alternative mood and Rock with Ro in the 🔥Hell🔥 Lounge.

  • 7:00PM: Catch one of the last guided Haunted Museum tours which end at 8PM and hang out in 🔥Hell🔥 with a drink in hand!

  • 8:00PM: 2nd Floor opens for Film screenings of local and independent “scary” films in our Ribbon Room, readings from Alumni artist Elicia Epstein’s Object Oracle in the Bureau of Illumination, dress up in artist-designed costumes and vintage clothing from our collection for a photoshoot

  • 8:30PM: Party Kick-off inside the Haunted Museum with all of the party details, followed by Line Dancing with Smooth Grooves

  • 9:15PM: Costume Contest winners’ announcement and Thriller flashmob with Jaleel Cheek

  • 9:45PM: A listen party of Jordan Lee’s new spooky single Freak ft. Max Miller

  • 10:00PM: A pixie princess by the name of Bunny enters the Black Widow’s Nest and takes the throne to give a FaePunk performance.

  • 10:15PM Unheard Project encapsulates the party into a vibe with Fusion Funk/Jazz/R&B, live music performed through Alumnus artist Richie Moreno’s coffin-shaped amp

  • 11:00PM Lights out, time for bed, see you in dreamland

Throughout the party:

  • Get involved and support the museum: Become a member of the museum, donate to support our mission, sign up to become a future volunteer and for our mailing list

  • Donation bars to raise funds for Elsewhere featuring spooky cocktails with Fainting Goat Spirits, wine from Lewis & Elm, and beer

  • Support our Black food trucks and SaturGays queer and trans-BIPOC street vendors out front of the museum

  • Spooky tunes from DJ B.U

Tickets are a donation to support our non-profit organization and are non-refundable. We can offer a donation letter for the full amount of your gift if you do not use your tickets.

Volunteer

Volunteers receive free reserved admission to the Guided Haunted Museum Tour and two “I gave blood” drink vouchers at the Nightmare On S. Elm Street Party in exchange for working at least one 3-hour shift.

Committing to multiple shifts and roles is welcome - organize a group of your friends and neighbors!
